.Agua de Rosas presents its second various artists compilation, a secret meeting point where voices from Chicago converge with artists from across the United States and Latin America.

Woven from past collaborations and new connections, the release reveals the label’s expanding pulse.

At its core, percussion pulses: club rhythms intertwine, Latin club, latincore, and other currents shaping a sonic landscape across a wider range of tempos. Each strike traces the rhythm of a shared terrain.

Sixteen tracks from Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Tijuana, Bogotá, Quito, Santiago, and São Paulo.

DJ FÓSIL 

Chicago artist Cesar Robles, aka DJ FÓSIL presents mi corazón es una máquina, a three-track EP reflecting on nocturnal surrealism and urban isolation.

Inspired by tribal guarachero and quebradita rhythms, this EP is an exercise in alchemy. A thread of lingering solitude and obsessive repetition runs throughout, as relentless drums collide with trance-driven synths, unfolding a resilient sound that holds both desperation and euphoria.

DJ FÓSIL was born in Mezquitic, Jalisco, and grew up in Cicero, just outside of Chicago. He learned to play guitar by ear at 16 and has been making music ever since. Throughout his 20s, he played in punk and post-punk bands before producing electronic music during the 2020 pandemic. He is currently a member of the duo Conjunto Primitivo.

Midwest producers Kema & Moreit present Trueque, a four-track release featuring three originals and a remix from Barcelona-based artist Phran (@phran)

Written between Iowa City, Minneapolis, and Chicago, the release moves through fast tempos and percussive frameworks. XXXL hits at 165 BPM, driven by a vocal sample and a heavy swing shaped by Kema’s touch. “Maravilla” and “Sacude” lock into Moreit’s raptor house and hardgroove-driven momentum, keeping the pressure tight and the flow locked in.

Phran delivers a remix of “Sacude” that amplifies the percussion and low-end weight into something even more hypnotic.
