Chicago artist Cesar Robles, aka DJ FÓSIL presents mi corazón es una máquina, a three-track EP reflecting on nocturnal surrealism and urban isolation.
Inspired by tribal guarachero and quebradita rhythms, this EP is an exercise in alchemy. A thread of lingering solitude and obsessive repetition runs throughout, as relentless drums collide with trance-driven synths, unfolding a resilient sound that holds both desperation and euphoria.
The single “tu victima” opens with commanding tribal percussion and atmospheric synth lines, steadily building toward a sense of transcendence. Sewa Choki’s remix softens the tempo and reinforces industrial tribal elements, transforming it into her signature style.
DJ FÓSIL was born in Mezquitic, Jalisco, and grew up in Cicero, just outside of Chicago. He learned to play guitar by ear at 16 and has been making music ever since. Throughout his 20s, he played in punk and post-punk bands before producing electronic music during the 2020 pandemic. He is currently a member of the duo Conjunto Primitivo.
